BITHYNIA. Calchedon. Ca. late 3rd century BC. AV stater (18mm, 8.43 gm, 11h). NGC AU 5/5 - 1/5, tooling. Name and type of Lysimachus. Diademed head deified Alexander III right, wearing horn of Ammon / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΛΥΣΙΜΑXOΥ, Athena seated left, Nike in right hand crowning royal name, resting left arm on grounded shield decorated with ridges and gorgoneion head boss, transverse spear beyond; EY monogram to inner left, bull charging left and ΘΡΑ in exergue.
