A beautiful pair of initial denominations from the 1870s, beautifully created as presentation pieces. Each feature the portrait of Dom Pedro II, during the height of the Brazilian Empire. POCs are noted on both face proofs, and the later date example has thinning to matting which has seeped through to the note. Otherwise, quite pleasing, and rare.
