A lovely example of this attractive early issue on the Bank of Abyssinia with a wonderful elephant vignette and color palette. This is only the second Specimen we have offered in one of our auctions and is sure to attract bidding interest. A large percentage of Bank of Abyssinia issued notes and Specimens were withdrawn and discarded in 1932 with the opening of the Bank of Ethiopia. The note has been roulette cancelled with the word CANCELLED at lower right (not all of the perforations have punched through). Printer's annotations are present along the top margin.
