ATTICA. Athens. Ca. 2nd-1st centuries BC. AR tetradrachm (32mm, 16.90 gm, 12h). NGC Choice AU S 5/5 - 5/5. New style coinage, ca. 136/5 BC, Hera-, Aristoph- and Philan-, magistrates. Head of Athena right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet decorated with Pegasus above upturned cheek flap decorated with a Pegasus, vine scroll on bowl, protomes of four horses on visor / Α-ΘΕ / HPA / API-ΣTOΦ / ΦΙΛAN, owl standing facing on overturned amphora decorated with I (9th month); lion-skin on club and bow in case in left field, ΓΛ (engraver's initials) below, all within olive wreath.
