THESSALY. Pharsalus. Ca. 425-350 BC. AR drachm (19mm, 6.04 gm, 8h). NGC XF 5/5 - 3/5. Aiginetic standard, ca. 400-370 BC, obverse die signed by Telephantos and his apprentice Ip-. Head of Athena right, wearing winged crested Attic helmet decorated with coiled serpent right; T / ΙΠ behind head / Φ-Α-Ρ-Σ (partially retrograde), rider on horseback left, wearing Thessalian dress and causia, reins in left hand, lagobolon in right over shoulder. HGC 4, 625. BCD Thessaly I, 1287. BCD Thessaly II 641.
