Head of nymph Larissa three-quarter facing left, wearing plain necklace and ampyx; border of dots / ΛΑΡΙΣ/AΙΩΝ, horse crouching right, about to roll. BCD Thessaly II 279 (this coin). Very rare, particularly so in high grade! Warm dark brown patina. Struck from dies every bit as charming and attractive as contemporary (and much more common) silver drachms.
