Charles VI (1380-1422) Blanc dit "Guénar" ND UNC (deposits), Rouen mint?, Dup-377C1. 28mm. 3.03gm. With double pellet-within-annulet stops. 4th Emission (from 20 October 1411). Superior quality for the coinage of the period in general and Charles VI's large-size issues in particular, the flan capturing the entirety of the stamp in razor-sharp detail. Though a "point" beneath the initial cross is usually indicative of Paris, Duplessy only lists Rouen as the mint for this variety. Sold with old collector's envelope. From the Morris Collection
