Japan Bank of Japan 200 Yen ND (1927) Pick 37Bs JNDA 11-41 Specimen PMG Very Fine 30. A handsome and historically important 200 Yen, issued in response to the dire state of the Japanese economy after years of decline. This type was hastily printed and very quickly introduced to the public to meet the need for increased cash supply. The quality of the printing was substandard, and issuance ceased after only a few days. This hole-punched Specimen is a relic from this dark period in Japanese history, of which only a small number are known to exist. Minor rust and a split, caused by a paper clip, are noted for accuracy. Historically important, very rare, and globally desired. From the Yuri Solovey Collection of Japan and Territories
