Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus enthroned left, right leg drawn back, feet on stool, eagle in right hand, scepter in left; rose in left field, ΔI-O beneath strut extending to the inner right field. Price 3971. Bold high relief detail. Tetradrachms of Alexander from the mint of Memphis, Egypt are widely regarded as stylistically the most beautiful in the series.
