MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC). AR tetradrachm (26mm, 17.02 gm, 2h). NGC MS 5/5 - 3/5, Fine Style. Late lifetime or early posthumous issue of Miletus, ca. 323-319 BC. Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, feet on stool, eagle in right hand, scepter in left; HK monogram in left field. Price 2120. Very well struck from dies of fine style on lustrous surfaces.
