Dutch Colony. United East India Company Gulden 1786/64 AU58 NGC, KM139, Scholten-69a. Variety with Roman 1 and straight 7 in the date. West Friesland issue. Phenomenal quality for an issue that seldom approaches Mint State, the figure of Pallas (or Neerlandia) rendered in full, lifelike detail, and a striking array of luster and flow lines prominent across the surfaces. Some deterioration is noted in the die around the date, though an overdate is quite discernable. From the Seki Collection
