Description

Ferdinand I gold Ducat 1848-E MS64 NGC, Karlsburg mint (in Transylvania), KM2262 (under Austria). Tied for the finest certified at NGC, effortlessly silky surfaces cascading honey-golden luster over the fields which, for their part, displays only a light scuff at the emperor's chin, capping the assigned grade. A coveted Transylvanian mint, deserving of the best bids. Mislabeled on the holder a being a Hungarian issue.
