THRACE. Byzantium. Ca. 200-150 BC. AR tetradrachm (36mm, 16.98 gm, 11h). NGC Choice AU  5/5 - 4/5. Name and types of Lysimachus of Thrace. Diademed head of the deified Alexander III the Great of Macedon right, wearing horn of Ammon / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ | ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, Athena seated left, Nike in right hand, left arm leaning on large grounded shield with gorgoneion motif, transverse reversed spear in background; KEP monogram to inner left, BY on throne, ornamented trident left in exergue. Müller 199. SNG Copenhagen 1138-9 var. (different monogram). Exceptionally well-struck on both sides, with fine details in high-relief.
