MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Philip II (359-336 BC). AV stater (20mm, 15.61 gm (coin, mount and chain), 12h). XF, mounted in necklace. Lifetime or early posthumous issue of Pella, ca. 340-328 BC. Laureate head of Apollo right / Charioteer driving racing biga right; cantharus below horses, ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ in exergue. Le Rider pl. 58, 183. SNG ANS 138-43. Coin is mounted in an unmarked gold mount with chain, both likely gold-plated. Coin appears to be undamaged from prongs.
