Greek Italy. Northern Apulia, Teate. AE Quincunx, 225-200 BC. D/ Head of Athena right, wearing Corinthian helmet; five pellets above. R/ TIATI Owl standing right, head facing, on Ionic capital; to right, star and five pellets. HN Italy 702a; SNG Morcom 224; SNG ANS 746 var. (crescent instead of star); SNG Cop. 690. (same). AE. g. 19.49 mm. 28.00 R. Rare and superb. Lovely light emerald-green patina. Good VF/VF. A very attractive example. Earthen emerald green patina.
