Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III the Great. 336-323 B.C. AE 18 "unit" (17.8 mm, 6.67 g, 10 h). Sardes mint, Struck 334-323 B.C. head of Alexander as Hercules right wearing lion-skin headdress, paws tied at throat / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, name between bow and bow-case with opening to left above, and club, handle to left beneath // monogram. Price 2552; Müller 0841. VF, full-flan, well-centered and struck, dark brown-green patina.
